When you complete the purchasing process, it starts immediately, and it will download the current version. You can use your Wi-Fi connection (if you have one), or you can use the download manager in the Help menu to keep you from interrupting normal operations. The Helper Access Module (HAL) is generally used for communication with ARM based MCUs.
